Abstract:
Disclosed in an embodiment of the invention are a data transmission method, a forwarding plane apparatus, and a centralized controller. The method comprises: receiving a path establishment request sent by a local-end communication device, wherein the path establishment request carries identifiers of the local-end communication device and a peer-end communication device; establishing, according to the path establishment request, a fast transmission path between the local-end communication device and the peer-end communication device; and sending the fast transmission path to the local-end communication device and the peer-end communication device, such that data packets are transmitted between the local-end communication device and the peer-end communication device by means of the fast transmission path. In the above method of the invention, a fast transmission path is established between the local-end communication device and the peer-end communication device, such that data can be directly and quickly forwarded to a destination by a forwarding plane apparatus without requiring a centralized controller to perform route computation.
