Disclosed is a data transmission method, which is applied to an information-centric network (ICN), the ICN comprises a source device, a transit device and a destination device, the source device is in direct communication connection with the destination device, or the source device is in indirect communication connection with the destination device via the transit device. The method comprises: the source device generating an interest packet of a frame format in response to an interest request input by a user, wherein the interest packet comprises an interest identification set, and the interest identification set is used for instructing to acquire at least two data contents in which a user is interested; the source device sending the interest packet, and the interest packet directly arriving at the destination device or arriving at the destination device via the transit device, and the interest identification set is used for instructing the destination device to return some or all of the at least two data contents to the source device; and the source device receiving the at least two data contents. The data transmission method provided in the embodiments of the present invention may request a plurality of data contents by means of one interest packet, thus improving the resource utilization rate.
