Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application provide a data transmission method and device. The method comprises: a multicast service management network element receiving a request message from a control plane network element, wherein the request message carries information of a first local area network; the multicast service management network element allocating a first multicast transmission path corresponding to the first local area network, wherein the first multicast transmission path is for transmitting multicast data of the first local area network; the multicast service management network element sending information of the first multicast transmission path to the control plane network element; the multicast service management network element receiving the first multicast data from a user plane network element, and determining that the first multicast data is multicast data of the first local area network; and the multicast service management network element broadcasting the first multicast data to an access network device of the first local area network through the first multicast transmission path, and broadcasting the first multicast data to a terminal device in the first local area network through the access network device. With the embodiments of the present application, advantages of reduced air-interface signaling overhead of multicast data transmission of a local area network and an enhanced air-interface resource utilization rate can be specifically achieved.
