Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a data transmission method and an electronic device. The present application relates to the technical field of communications and can transfer a file by means of NFC touch and simplify user operations without increasing hardware costs, improving file transfer efficiency. The specific solution comprises: a first device displaying a first interface, the first interface comprising image information of a first file; if a distance between an NFC chip of the first device and an electronic tag of a second device is less than a preset threshold, acquiring a Bluetooth address of the second device; wherein the electronic tag comprises device information of the second device, and the device information comprises a Bluetooth address or a tag ID used to acquire a Bluetooth address; the first device exchanging Wi-Fi connection parameters with the second device by means of a Bluetooth connection corresponding to the Bluetooth address, and the first device establishing a Wi-Fi connection with the second device; after the Wi-Fi connection is established, the first device transferring the first file to the second device by means of the Wi-Fi connection automatically.
