Abstract:
The present application discloses a data transmission method. Specifically, a second network device connected to a terminal device sends a first packet to a first network device, the first packet comprising a MAC address of the terminal device and a first management VLAN identifier. The first management VLAN identifier indicates a management VLAN configured on a first port on the second network device, and the first port is used for connecting the second network device and the terminal device. After receiving the first packet, the first network device establishes a first association relationship, comprising the MAC address, between the first management VLAN identifier and the first logical port according to information in the first packet, the first logical port being located on the first network device and corresponding to the first port. Hence, in the present application, by encapsulating the VLAN and the MAC address of the terminal device in the packet, the first network device locally establishes the first association relationship, so as to achieve packet forwarding according to the first association relationship, without the need for the second network device to establish forwarding information, thereby reducing the complexity of the second network device.
