Abstract:

An embodiment of the present invention provides a data transmission method, a UE and a base station communicating over an unlicensed spectrum, comprising: during a current COD period of a base station, a UE sending a data packet to the base station and starting a timer; determining a first end time of said current COD; pausing the timer at said first end time; determining a second end time of an LP in a next COD of the base station; resuming the timer at the second end time; before the resumed timer expires, receiving a response message transmitted by the base station. In an embodiment of the present invention, a UE suspends a timer at an end time of a previous COD, and resumes the timer when an LP of a next COD ends, i.e., the UE pauses operation of a timer during an LBT phase of a base station. This method can improve the success rate of the UE access process and decrease probability of data packet retransmission, and can thereby improve system resource utilization.
