Abstract:

The present invention relates to the technical field of communication. Provided in embodiments of the present invention are a data transmitting method and system, the method comprising: generating, by a user equipment (UE), a physical layer protocol data unit carrying data message; transmitting, by the UE, the physical layer protocol data unit to an evolved node B (eNodeB) via an uplink competition data channel; receiving, by the UE, a receipt confirmation information transmitted by the eNodeB. In embodiments of the present invention, a process of transmitting data message to a base station can be implemented by the UE through two interactive steps, instead of carrying out six processes in the prior art, even the random accessing process in the six processes includes four interactive steps in comparison. The embodiments can reduce the signaling cost required by the base station side when the UE is transmitting data, which is suitable for small data or ad hoc data transmission.
