Abstract:
In order to enable access to a database (30) even with an information device (20) that does not have a function for using a database language, a database connection device (10) is provided with: a database registration unit (13) which serves as a database management unit for managing the database (30); and a file transfer function unit (11) which is connected to the information device (20) provided with a function for using a directory description to designate a transmission destination to transmit a file, and which receives the transmitted file from the information device (20). The file transfer function unit (11) acquires database registration destination information from the directory description of the designated transmission destination when the transmitted file is received from the information device (20). The database registration unit (13) registers the transmitted file in the database (30) based on the registration destination information acquired by the file transfer function unit (11).
