A system with a relation−holding database (23) for managing only the relation between records with actual data remaining in existing databases (21, 22) is provided with buffer memories (26, 27) for caching related data on computers (24, 25) which provide user application services based on database. For the acquisition of data related with each other from the existing databases (21, 22) to the computers (24, 25), related data are acquired from own cache memories (26, 27) of the computers (24, 25) to save the labor of retieving the relation−holding database (23) in detail.
