Abstract:
In a first step S100, a one-bit conversion bit is added to source data D0. In a second step S102, when input data D1 includes a sequence of identical multi-valued states (symbols) extending from a position before the center to a tail end, a first half D1f of the input data D1 is utilized to generate converted data D2. In a third step S104, when the input data D1 includes a sequence of identical multi-valued states extending from the start thereof to a position after the center, a second half D1s of the input data D1 is utilized to generate the converted data D2.
