Abstract:
Provided is a DC current charging device capable of directly and efficiently charging a storage battery with DC current from, for example, a solar power generation device without requiring a converter. The DC charging device according to the present invention is characterized by comprising: a storage battery module in which a plurality of storage battery cells are connected in series or in parallel; a switch that connects a plurality of the storage battery modules in series and is provided between the storage battery modules connected in series; two or more sets of positive electrode buses that are connected via another switches from between the positive electrode of each of the storage battery modules and the switch; two or more sets of negative electrode buses that are connected via another switches from between the negative electrode of each of the storage battery modules and the switch; a control unit, and a measuring unit. The control unit can discontinuously select the storage battery modules connected in series in a positional relationship on the series connection, adjusts an output voltage by switching the number of connections of the storage battery cells of the selected storage battery modules, and DC-charges an object to be charged.
