Title:
DC-DC CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/076752
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A DC-DC converter (1) is provided with a charge diode (D5) and a snubber capacitor (C2) that absorb surge energy applied to rectifier diodes (D1 to D4). A control unit (6), in synchronization with the rise time of a rectangular wave applied to the primary winding, turns on a discharge switching element (FET5) for a prescribed period of time when a voltage is generated in the secondary winding of a transformer (2), and discharges the surge energy absorbed by the snubber capacitor (C2) through the charge diode (D5). Further, when the voltage is not generated in the secondary winding, the control unit (6) turns off the discharge switching element (FET5) and maintains the terminal voltage of the snubber capacitor (C2) at the upper voltage of the rectangular wave voltage generated in the secondary winding.
