Abstract:
A DC-DC converter according to the present invention that generates a fixed output voltage from an input voltage of an input power source (200) comprises a control unit (40) that controls a boosting switch (22) and a stepdown switch (12). The control unit, when moving from a boost operation to a first step-up/down operation, extends the on time of the boosting switch at the initiation of the first step-up/down operation beyond the termination time of the boost operation and, when moving from the first up/down operation to the boost operation, reduces the on time of the boosting switch at the initiation of the boost operation to be shorter than the termination time of the first step-up/down operation. The control unit, when moving from a second step-up/down operation to a stepdown operation, reduces the off time of the stepdown switch at the initiation of the stepdown operation to be shorter than the termination time of the second step-up/down operation and, when moving from the stepdown operation to the second step-up/down operation, extends the off time of the stepdown switch at the initiation of the second step-up/down operation beyond the termination time of the stepdown operation.
