The present invention addresses the problem of providing a DC electric motor stator in which the gap between a magnetic pole and a holding portion in an axial direction is eliminated and a DC electric motor. To solve this problem, the stator (1) of a DC electric motor (100) comprises: a cylindrical yoke (2); a magnetic pole (3) (main magnetic pole (3a) and auxiliary magnetic pole (3b)) provided on the inner circumferential surface of the yoke (2); an axial direction holding portion (54) making contact with one end of the magnetic pole (3) in an axial direction and restricting the magnetic pole (3) from moving to the one end side in the axial direction; and another axial direction holding portion (53) making contact with the other end of the magnetic pole (3) in an axial direction and restricting the magnetic pole (3) from moving to the other end side in the axial direction by the rigidity of the magnetic pole (3). In addition, the axial direction holding portion (54) is formed so as to have elastic force for pressing the magnetic pole (3) toward the other end side in the axial direction.
