Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to enable a ground fault accident zone to be accurately determined in a DC electric railway in which DC power is supplied to a train from a plurality of feeder substations through a feeder. Provided is a DC ground fault detection system comprising: a VLD control and data collection device 51, which is provided in each of a feeder zone of each of the feeder substations and has a short-circuit switch (VLD 50) that is interposed between a rail 37 and a ground 38 and configured to be closed when a rail-to-ground voltage becomes equal to or higher than a set voltage, the VLD control and data collection device 51 collecting electric information including the rail-to-ground voltage and a current that passes through the short-circuit switch after the short-circuit switch is closed; and a ground fault determination device 60 for determining, on the basis of the electric information collected by the VLD control and data collection device 51, a ground fault accident by using a current value, an energization time, and an energization direction of the current passing through the short-circuit switch.
