Title:
DC POWER BREAKER FOR PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER GENERATION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/059976
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a DC power breaker for photovoltaic power generation installed between a plurality of photovoltaic modules and a connection panel and, more particularly, to a DC power breaker for photovoltaic power generation comprising: a mechanical switch, installed in a string connected between each of the photovoltaic power modules and the connection panel, for switching on and off between the photovoltaic power modules and the connection panel; a semiconductor switch connected between each of the photovoltaic modules and the mechanical switch to switch off between a (+) string and a (-) string during photovoltaic power generation, and conducting electricity between the (+) string and the (-) string when an abnormal situation is detected; and a control unit for detecting the abnormal situation through at least one of an abnormal current flowing into the connection panel, a flash generated within the connection panel, and the temperature of the connection panel, and controlling the semiconductor switch and the mechanical switch, wherein when the abnormal situation occurs in a state in which the semiconductor switch and the mechanical switch are turned on, the semiconductor switch is turned off and then the mechanical switch is turned off.
