Abstract:
Provided is a DC power supply device with which it is possible to minimize power loss. The DC power supply device 1 is provided with a first conversion unit 10 connected to an AC power supply 3, a second conversion unit 30 connected to an electric tool 70, and a cable 5 connecting the first conversion unit 10 and the second conversion unit 30 to each other. The first conversion unit 10 includes a power factor improvement circuit 12. The first conversion unit 10: converts an AC voltage having a first voltage value, inputted from the AC power supply 3, into a DC voltage having a second voltage value higher than the first voltage value; and outputs the DC voltage having a second voltage value to the cable 5. The second conversion unit 30: converts the output voltage of the first conversion unit 10, inputted via the cable 5, into a DC voltage having a third voltage value lower than the second voltage value; and outputs the DC voltage having a third voltage value to the electric tool 70.
