Abstract:
Disclosed is a deaerator that enables the size of the receptacle to which a coating liquid is fed to be reduced without employing a rotary mechanism. The deareator for removing air bubbles contained in a coating liquid (Q) includes: upper thin-film formation plates (30) having a pyramidal plane (30b) with an apex (30a) on the upper side, the coating liquid (Q) flowing along the pyramidal plane (30b) to the outer side; and lower thin-film formation plates (40) which are disposed separately from and below the upper thin-film formation plates (30) and are formed in a funnel shape which is recessed toward the lower side, and which receive, at the outer parts, the coating liquid (Q) that drops from the upper thin-film formation plates (30), the coating liquid (Q) flowing along an inclined plane (40a) thereof that inclines downward.
