Abstract:
A decoding method and apparatus for an LDPC code. In a process of performing iterative decoding on a soft value sequence using a check matrix of LDPC codes, for an update stage of variable nodes (v0, v1, v2, v3, v4, v5, v6, v7, v8, v9), when and only when sign bits of information of the variable nodes (v0, v1, v2, v3, v4, v5, v6, v7, v8, v9), obtained in two consecutive iterations and output to check nodes (c0, c1, c2, c3, c4), are different, a receiving end would use a weighted or annealing treatment method to correct information sent by the current variable nodes (v0, v1, v2, v3, v4, v5, v6, v7, v8, v9) to the check nodes (c0, c1, c2, c3, c4), so as to reduce the complexity of the decoding process, and improve the decoding performance and the throughput of a decoder.
