Abstract:
A decoding method and apparatus. A decoder comprises a type detection module, a decoding and prediction module, a state determination module, and an output processing module. The type detection module is used to perform type detection on a code block to be decoded; the decoding and prediction module is used to decode said code block and to obtain a prediction and decoding means of said code block; the state determination module is used to select a decoding means from the prediction and decoding means of said code block; and the output processing module is used to update decoding results according to the decoding means selected by the state determination module. The decoder also comprises a delay device, which is used to delay received data by at least one clock cycle before output. The present application can be compatible with different bus bit widths or different processes to decode a physical coding sublayer (PCS) to achieve timing requirements, thereby improving system flexibility.
