Abstract:
Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a decoding method and a related device, which are used for simplifying a process of solving an error location polynomial and an error value polynomial by means of a divide-and-conquer strategy, and improving the processing efficiency of performing error correction on the Reed-Solomon (RS) codes. The method comprises: determining a syndrome of first data, wherein the first data is data encoded on the basis of the RS codes, the syndrome, an error location polynomial and an error value polynomial satisfy a first incidence relationship, and the dimension of the first incidence relationship is ρ; determining ρ element pairs according to the syndrome; decomposing the ρ element pairs on the basis of a divide-and-conquer strategy, so as to obtain at least two parts of element pairs; determining the error location polynomial and the error value polynomial according to the at least two parts of element pairs and the first incidence relationship; and performing error correction on the first data according to the error location polynomial and the error value polynomial, so as to obtain data that has been subjected to error correction.
