Abstract:
Provided are a decomposition apparatus (100) and a refrigerator (1) comprising the same. The decomposition apparatus (100) comprises: an irradiating portion (8), disposed in a storage chamber (2) of the refrigerator, for irradiating, to foods accommodated in the storage chamber (2), light having a wavelength of 100 to 300 nm; and a control portion (12), for controlling the irradiating portion (8) such that the product of the illuminance of light and the irradiation time is 2000 to 6000 µw/cm 2•H. The decomposition apparatus (100) utilizes a simple construction to decompose the residual pesticides on foods such as vegetables and fruits accommodated in the storage chamber (2) while inhibiting the deterioration of foods.
