The inventive decorative multicolour lighting set consists of a light source comprising at least two light-emitting differently coloured diodes (1) having a predetermined spatial radiation distribution and disposed according to a predetermined spatial localisation. Said decorative multicolour lighting set also comprises a board (4), a control unit (2) provided with programmable channels for individually controlling the radiation of each colour light-emitting diodes (1), a diffuser (6) and electric outputs (7). Said differently coloured light-emitting diodes (1) are spatially localised in at least one group, wherein the light-emitting diodes (i) within a group or the groups of light-emitting diodes are disposed at least on the circumference of a polygon or circle. The diffuser (6), which at least partially embraces the diodes radiation distributing area consists of at least two parts and the board with light-emitting diodes is placed thereinside. A variant relates to determining a pulse-rise and pulse-fall time for each feeding pulse, the duration of a feeding period and the duration of spaces between the feeding periods. The aim of said invention is to improve aesthetic perception, extend a colour effects range and to simplify the use.
