A decorative paper which comprises a colored base paper (3) containing a cellulose based pulp (1) and a colorant (2) and being colored yellow or white and, laminated thereon, a surface resin layer (4); and the decorative paper which preferably further comprises a whole solid layer laminated between the base paper and the surface resin layer, the whole solid layer comprising a yellow ink in the case of a yellow base paper and a white ink in the case of a white base paper. In general, a designed ink layer is also laminated under the surface resin layer. The decorative paper, when the above surface resin layer is cured by means of irradiation of an ionizing radiation, is capable of making the yellowing of the base paper caused by the ionizing radiation to be inconspicuous.
