Description:
DECORATIVE PROJECTOR

This invention consists in a decorative projector, intended for the projection in dark ambient conditions, of black-and-white or color signs, geometrical shapes and drawings on a light color background.

For the projection in light condition of black and white or color geometrical shapes, in order to create still or motion light images, there are some projectors generically called "light orgies" due to their possibility to be scheduled in relation to a track or independently.

These projectors consist in a light source, usually incandescent and high voltage, located inside an opaque case, and a fixed or mobile plate, simply perforated or provided with colored parts, through which the light rays coming from the mentioned source can be projected on a surface.

These devices' main disadvantage is represented by the high power consumption and the need of a 220V/50Hz power source.

Another disadvantage is due to the known devices' considerable volume, which requires a separate space, whether on the floor in order to project on walls or the ceiling, or suspended, in this case requiring specific holders.

The technical problem solved by this invention is represented by the creation of a decorative projector, allowing a diversification of the projected images due to the light source positioning flexibility.

The decorative projector, in its first construction variant, according to the invention, removes the above-mentioned disadvantages due to its being made up of at least a first light source, attached to a surface and fed through one of the known means also from other light sources located underneath a filter plate and inside a light filter, the first light source being able to emit vertically, crossing the filter plate, and the other light sources emitting light from a different angle which may be parallel to the mentioned surface. The second device variant is provided with some main light sources placed on the generators of a cone-shaped surface and which, due to their position, will send light on a projection plane located outside the frame made up of a light filter, a projection plane which may be parallel to the surface that the above-mentioned sources are attached to. The third device variant is provided with at least one pair of light sources, attached to a surface, thus separated into different sources and placed between a higher filter plate and a lower filter plate, as well as inside a light filter. The light sources making up the source pair may be different sources or may be obtained with the help of a single linear non-represented filament, their separation being provided by the surface they are attached to. The fifth device variant can operate in rotation motions the filter plates of the four previous variants. The device's sixth variant in which any of the first three variants may be used, can operate in rotation motions the surfaces that the first light sources are attached to. The seventh device variant is provided with at least one light source, attached to an enclosure, and a light filter, the respective enclosure providing an opaque light closure so its light only crosses, through an angular opening, the mentioned filter which may be a fixed cylinder surface. The eighth device variant is provided with the non-represented light filter, having the shape of a closed surface, which can rotate in front of the light source in order to produce motion images.

The invention application has the following advantages:

- increased projected image diversity due to the multitude of potentially used filters;

- development of the assembly means due to the reduced sizes;

- location space reduction;

- power consumption reduction.

The first decorative projector variant, according to the invention, is made up of at least one light source 1, attached to a surface 2 and fed through one of the known means also from other light sources 3 placed underneath the filter plate 4 and inside a light filter 5.

Light source 1 may emit either a white or colored light spot, or cone, in a direction a, crossing the transparent plate 4, and light sources 3 may emit light in the same way, but in a plane A - A which may be parallel to surface 2.

Light source 1 may be LED or LASER with any ray shape; a halogen lamp with any filament shape or a stroboscope or metal halogen lamp, each of them being to be selected, in terms of voltage, according to the projection purpose. Also, light source 1 may consist in a group of other sources with any configuration whatsoever. Same with other electric light sources as well as light sources obtained by burning fuel, or any other source type.

According to these light sources, power sources with the appropriate voltages will be selected: batteries, accumulators, photo solar cells or the 220V/50Hz power public network as well as any other known power sources.

The filter plate 4 may be opaque with transparent parts of any shape, may be completely transparent and have a certain color, or may have imprinted signs, letters and figures, as well as any sort of black-and-white or color drawings. This implicitly leads to the selection of a material appropriate for the filter plate 4 manufacture technology. Furthermore, filter plate 4 may be an optical filter containing lenses of any shape or prisms. Being connected to the plane distribution of light sources 1 and consequently to the surrounding area, the shape of filter plate 4 will follow the shape of the area.

Similarly to filter plate 4, light filter 5 can be made of any opaque material allowing the production of cuttings or transparent parts that the light may pass through. It can also be transparent, light or colored, may have imprinted signs or black-and-white or colored drawings, photographs, flower frames, insects, animals and other items. Horizontally, it may have any shape whatsoever, without any restrictions: circular, for example, and in this case direction a is congruent to the device axis, according to the invention, but may be polygonal, symmetrical or asymmetrical to one or several axes. Also, light filters 5 may be cone-shaped, splayed, barrel shaped or hypoidal, as well as any other space shape.

The connections between the light sources and the power sources will be provided by conducting wires with appropriate sections, according to the voltage, and will be thus placed so as to best hide them and avoid having a negativeonfluence on the obtained light effects.

According to the invention, the device is provided with at least one hook and / or holder device, non-represented, in order to be placed in the desired position and location.

According to the invention, the device reproduces/ projects upon operation, both horizontally above - on a ceiling for example - and vertically - on walls nearby for instances - the images taken over from the filter plate 4 and respectively from light filter 5.

The projection should be made on flat, light colored surfaces, preferably white, in order to allow the distinction of the projected shapes' outlines and colors.

The unexpected, amazing and extremely attractive aesthetic effect of these projections is rendered by the shape of the cuttings or imprinted drawings and obviously by the colors of the two items - plate 4 and filter 5. By using various materials, carefully selecting signs and drawings as well as used colors, we can obtain an unlimited variety of decorative light effects.

The second decorative projector variant, according to the invention, is similar to the first variant, being made up of at least one light source 6, attached to a surface 7 and other light sources 8 placed underneath a filter plate 9 and inside a light filter 10. The only difference consists in the fact that light sources 8 are placed on the generators of a cone surface B and that, due to this positioning, they will send their light vertically on a projection plane C located outside the area made up of the light filter 10; projection plane C may be parallel to surface 7.

The third decorative projection device, according to the invention, is made up of at least one pair of light sources D, attached to a surface 11 and placed between a higher filter plate 12 and a lower filter plate 13, as well as inside a light filter 14. The light sources making up pair D may be different sources 15 and 16 similar to source 1, or may be obtained with the help of a single linear filament or fluorescent neon tube, non-represented, their separation being achieved through the presence of surface 11. Pair D sources may emit white or colored light cones, with an angular opening b of up to 180° or even 350° '

The fourth decorative projector variant, according to the invention, allows the use of any of the three previous variants, as per the invention previously described, namely when light filters 5, 10 and 14 have a symmetry axis, these items may be operated, by one of the known means, in rotation motions.

The fifth decorative projector variant, according to the invention, allows the use of any of the four previous variants, as per the invention previously described, with filter plates 4, 9, 12 and 13 operated by one of the known means, in rotation motions.

The sixth decorative projector variant, according to the invention, allows the use of any of the five previous variants, as per the invention previously described, with 2 , 7 and 11 - to which light sources 1,6 and respectively pair D are attached - may be operated in rotation motions.

The seventh decorative projector variant, according to the invention, is made up of at least one light source 17, attached to an enclosure 18 and a light filter 19. Enclosure 18 provides the opaque closing of source 17 so that the latter's light only crosses, through an angular opening c, filter 19 which may be a fixed cylinder surface.

The eighth decorative projector variant, directly connected to the sixth variant, according to the invention, is provided with a light filter, non-represented, having the shape of a closed area which may be rotated in front of the above-mentioned light source 17, in order to produce motion pictures.

Any of the filter plates and the light filters presented above, according to the invention, can be manufactured in such a way as to be interchangeable between devices.

The decorative projector, according to the invention, may be used both for decoration purposes in housing units and various premises - public alimentation or entertainment spaces - for information or visual signaling of a certain mark, for advertising and commercial purposes.
