Abstract:
The invention relates to a planar decorative material (11) having openings (12) for interior finishing, in particular for the automotive industry, the purpose of which decorative material is to be illuminated on the rear side (13) thereof by means of a lighting device (18) and to let part of the light from the lighting device (18) pass from the rear side (13) of the decorative material (11) through the openings (12) to the visible side (14) of the decorative material (11). Diffusing elements (30) are provided in the openings (12). A diffusing disk (31) is provided, which comprises a plate (35) having two side surfaces (32, 33), which are preferably parallel to one another. A plurality of diffusing elements (30) is provided on the one side surface (32) of the plate (35), which diffusing elements extend outward from the plane of the plate (35). The shape and arrangement of the diffusing elements (30) on the plate (35) correspond with the shape and arrangement of the openings (12) in the planar decorative material (11). The invention further relates a method for producing a backlit decorative material (11).
