Abstract:
The present invention relates to a dedicated petroleum coke and mixed fuel combustion apparatus, and a method for driving same, and more specifically to a dedicated petroleum coke and mixed fuel combustion apparatus having a divided multi-stage structure so as to maximally inhibit the formation of nitrogen oxide, and a method for driving the combustion apparatus, the dedicated petroleum coke and mixed fuel combustion apparatus comprising: a first injection unit through which fuel is supplied; a first supply unit through which air is supplied, with the first injection unit inserted therein; a second injection unit through which petroleum coke fuel and carrier gas are injected, with the first supply unit inserted therein; a second supply unit through which air is supplied, with the second injection unit inserted therein; and a third supply unit through which air is supplied, with the second supply unit inserted therein, and as such, because a system is employed in which air is supplied divided into multiple stages by means of the first, second and third supply units, the area of concentration of the initial combustion reaction is minimized to prevent a hot spot from forming, thereby having the effect of inhibiting the formation of thermal NOx.
