Abstract:
A deep hole boring drill capable of preventing bending from occurring during cutting, wherein a pair of cutting blades (3) are spirally formed on a drill body (1), the cutting blades (3) are separated by generally 180°from each other with respect to the center of the core (1a) of the drill, and the ridge lines (3a) at the tip parts of the cutting blades (3) are recessed toward the core (1a) of the drill. When the outer diameter of the drill is 7.4 mm, an angle between the ridge lines (3a) and a line orthogonal to the core (1a) is 5°and a core thickness (t) is 2.96 mm. Also, the drill comprises guide parts (4) for preventing bending in cutting. The guide parts (4) are provided on the same circumferential heel side of the drill as the circumference thereof allowing the outer end parts of the cutting blades (3, 3) to be passed therethrough.
