Abstract:
[Problem] To reduce construction cost while realizing an increase in an improvement diameter by making the best use of the characteristics of a powdery material in a powder-based deep layer mixing method. [Solution] The present invention can solve the above-described problem in the following way. Part of the ground that is to be improved is excavated and penetrated by an agitating shaft 10 rotating around the center of the shaft, and during this process a fluidity improving agent aqueous solution is sprayed from a liquid spraying nozzle 16 provided at a leading end of the agitating shaft 10, and in-situ soil and the fluidity improving agent aqueous solution are agitated and mixed together by rotating agitating vanes 13, 14. After that, the agitating shaft 10 rotating around the center of the shaft is withdrawn from the state of being inserted in the part of the ground that is to be improved, and during this process a powdery solidifying material is sprayed from a powder spraying nozzle 15 provided behind an upper agitating vane in the rotation direction, and in-situ soil and the powdery solidifying material are agitated and mixed together by the rotating agitating vanes 13, 14, and a column-shaped improved body CB is formed as a result of the mixture hardening. An excavation/penetration resistance of the agitating shaft 10 is detected when performing the excavation and penetration while spraying the fluidity improving agent aqueous solution, and in order that the excavation/penetration resistance lies within a prescribed range, the fluidity improving agent concentration and the spraying amount of the fluidity improving agent aqueous solution sprayed from the leading end of the agitating shaft 10 are changed in a continuous or stepwise manner.
