Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a defoaming agent that exhibits superior defoaming properties (foam breaking and foam suppressing effects). The present invention is a defoaming agent characterized by containing (A) a hydrocarbon oil, (B) hydrophobic silica, (C) a polyoxyalkylene compound represented by general formula (1), and (D) a polyhydric alcohol fatty acid ester. R1 (-OA)n-OR2 In the formula, OA is a C2-4 oxyalkylene group; R1 is a C1-30 alkyl group, C2-30 alkenyl group, or C2-30 acyl group; R2 is a C1-30 alkyl group, C2-30 alkenyl group, C2-30 acyl group, or hydrogen atom; and n is an integer from 2 to 100.
