Abstract:
Provided is a high-manganese-content deformed reinforcing bar having an austenite single-phase structure and having excellent bending workability. A deformed reinforcing bar having a component composition including, in terms of mass%, 0.7% to 1.2% C, 1.0% or less of Si, 9% to 15% Mn, 1.0% or less of Cr, 0.03% or less of P, and 0.05% or less of S, the remainder comprising Fe and unavoidable impurities, the deformed reinforcing bar having a structure comprising an austenite single phase, the ratio of the difference between the maximum hardness and the minimum hardness in the periphery of a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction with respect to the central average hardness being 15% or less, two or more ribs extending in the longitudinal direction being provided at equal intervals in a cross-sectional circumferential direction, and the ratio of the difference between the maximum and minimum values of the rib width with respect to the minimum value of the rib width being 50% or less.
