Abstract:
Provided herein are chewing gum compositions and products that degrade over time after chewing. More particularly, degradable chewing gums and degradable chewing gum bases containing a combination of (A) at least one delayed cud-disrupting material and (B) at least one polymeric moisture uptake promoter material for the at least one delayed cud-disrupting material are disclosed herein. Methods of preparing the gum base and chewing gum compositions, as well as methods of use, are also provided.
