Abstract:
A degradable fiber which is for use in a wellbore treatment fluid and which is made of a resin that is degradable in a treatment fluid for the recovery of a hydrocarbon resource, characterized in that: the content of oligomer components in the resin forming the outer surface of the fiber is 1 mass% or less; and the birefringence of the fiber is 0.02 or more. A process for manufacturing a degradable fiber for use in a wellbore treatment fluid, wherein: the content of oligomer components in the resin forming the outer surface of undrawn yarn obtained in a spinning step is 1 mass% or less; and in a drawing step, the birefringence of drawn yarn before heat treatment is 0.02 or more. A wellbore treatment method using a wellbore treatment fluid which contains both the degradable fiber and a proppant.
