Abstract:
Provided is a dehydration system using a zeolite membrane that has an LTA crystal structure, said system being capable of extending membrane life in high-water-content systems. This dehydration system 10 removes moisture from a water-containing fluid to be separated and comprises: a membrane module 17 having a zeolite membrane having an LTA or FAU crystal structure; an inlet-side passage 15 whereby a fluid flows into an inlet 16 for the membrane module 17; an outlet-side passage 19 connected to an outlet 18 from which concentrated fluid is discharged; a concentrated fluid tank 20 connected to the outlet-side passage 19; and a recirculation passage 21 connected to the inlet-side passage 15, from the concentrated fluid tank 20. The dehydration system is characterized by: recirculating a prescribed amount of concentrated fluid from the concentrated fluid tank 20, along the recirculation passage 21 to the membrane module 17; and adjusting the prescribed amount such that the total moisture content of the water-containing fluid to be separated that flows into the inlet 16 of the membrane module 17 and the concentrated fluid recirculated along the recirculation passage 21 is no more than a prescribed value.
