Abstract:
The present feature relates to a delivery device, a delivery method, a receiver, a receiving method, a program, and a content delivery system with which it is possible to signal the region of interest (ROI) identifier of a video delivered by broadcast delivery and/or web delivery. A delivery device that is one aspect of the present feature is provided with a segment file transformation unit for transforming a per-region video stream obtained by imaging an imaging range that is divided into a plurality of regions into a segment file, a delivery unit for supplying the segment file of the per-region video stream to a receiving side by web delivery and/or broadcast delivery, and a notification unit for notifying, when an ROI comprising one or more of the regions is set to the imaging range, the receiving side of an ROI identifier for identifying the belonging ROI as attribute information pertaining to the segment file that corresponds to the regions that constitute the ROI. The present feature can be applied to, for example, streaming delivery using a DASH.
