Abstract:
An automated delivery terminal enable addressees to claim their postal items in an automated manner after identification without having to be physically present at the time of delivery itself. A network of such automated delivery terminals strategically located at a plurality of geographical locations may receive the postal items via a suitable delivery infrastructure. A corresponding network of automated collection terminals enables the collection of postal items from senders.
