Abstract:
Disclosed is a technology that reduces the frequency of occurrence of the situation of power being used in excess of a target value for used power per demand time period. A prediction unit (32) predicts a predicted value for power that will have been consumed by power-consuming equipment at the end of a demand time period on the basis of the environmental conditions surrounding the power-consuming equipment at the start of said demand time period. A power control unit (38) starts or increases the supply of power to the power-consuming equipment from a storage battery (10) by controlling the output of the storage battery (10) when the predicted value of power consumption predicted by the prediction unit (32) exceeds the target value of power consumption per demand time period. Here, the prediction unit (32) corrects the predicted value of power that will have been consumed at the end of the demand time period on the basis of the power actually consumed by the power-consuming equipment during the progress of the demand time period. The power control unit (38) controls the power supplied by the storage battery in a manner reflecting the predicted value of power consumption that the prediction unit (32) has corrected.
