The invention relates to a woven denim, knitted denim and tricot denim fabric obtained by using natural animal yarns in wefts and warps .

Known State of the Art

Denim fabric is a type of fabric that has been used for many years , still hasn' t lost popularity and is suitable for use in many areas . The most prominent feature of thi s fabric is that the warp yarn is painted with indigo dye and the weft yarn remains undyed . Denim fabric is a kind of coarse , durable and useful fabric used for making sportswear and "blue j eans" , and it is generally preferred to be produced with a single layer of 100% cotton yarns .

Today, denim fabric has become a type of fabric pre ferred as an alternative to conventional clothing, adapting to fashion being in a continuous change and preferred by di f ferent segments of society . Its being frequently preferred by consumers for use in daily li fe has triggered textile manufacturers to diversi fy in this area . It is known that these widely used woven denim fabrics are produced by di f ferent methods using various yarns .

It is seen that mostly cotton yarn is used in woven denim fabrics produced in the art . Also , non-natural ingredients such as polyester, nylon, lycra are used .

Due to the limited properties of cotton yarn, there is a need to develop an alternative to it . It is necessary to enhance the pattern, model , appearance and aesthetic properties by using di f ferent yarns , and develop woven denim fabrics that can be produced in di f ferent weights and patterns , colors and moti fs that provide comfort and can be worn in all seasons . Speci fically, denim fabrics made of materials that prioriti ze human health by comprising natural ingredients need to be developed .

There are documents relating to woven denim fabrics produced from cotton yarns in the known state of the art .

The utility model application TR2018 / 06878 describes a woven denim fabric that creates less static electricity during use and that provides a similar fabric with a lower weaving density . It is stated that cotton, polyester or lycra yarns are used as a single yarn . It is stated that as a result of movements of weft yarns and warp yarns by using dobby weaving, a single weft yarn behind the woven denim fabric consists of two yarns with di f ferent elasticities that create a similar loop image behind the denim fabric as a result of skipping movements , or it contains weft yarns that do not require the use of two dif ferent yarns . Thi s document does not mention any use of natural and animal yarns such as silk, f loss silk or wool . Thus , there is no woven denim fabric with these yarn properties . In addition, unnatural ingredients such as polyester and nylon, which are deleterious to health, are used in this document .

The patent application TR2013/ 10663 describes a denim fabric production method comprising positioning warp and weft yarns in a di f ferent knitting pattern and obtaining a knitted fabric surface by applying a weaving technique , and a denim fabric produced by said method . Cotton and polyester yarn composite is used in the production of this fabric . As can be seen from the documents in the art, it is clear that the drawbacks in the art have not been overcome. Thus, there remains a need to develop woven denim fabrics with enhanced pattern, model, appearance and aesthetic properties by using different yarns that can be produced in different weights and patterns, colors and motifs that provide comfort and can be worn in all seasons.

Detailed Description of the Invention

The invention relates to a woven/knitted/tricot denim fabric obtained by using natural animal yarns in wefts and warps.

It is an object of the invention to obtain a high value product by using different yarns in denim fabrics.

It is an object of the invention to develop a comfortable denim fabric with high quality, enhanced elasticity properties and high thermal performance with respect to the type of yarn used.

It is an object of the invention to increase product variety of denim fabric, and obtain woven denim fabrics in different weights with various patterns, colors and motifs.

It is an object of the invention to use different natural animal yarns in denim fabric in addition to cotton yarn.

Natural animal yarns are used together with denim yarn in the invention .

The invention is generally a denim fabric (1) comprising natural and animal yarn. In an embodiment of the invention, denim fabric (1) comprises at least one of silk, floss silk, floss viscose and wool yarns.

Denim fabric (1) of the invention may be a woven, knitted or tricot fabric.

More specifically, only silk yarn, floss silk yarn, floss viscose yarn and wool yarn can be used in denim fabric (1) of the invention. Additionally, a yarn composite obtained from different natural yarns with animal origin can also be used in the content of woven denim fabric.

In an embodiment of the invention, methods such as weft, warp or pile are used for weaving.

In an embodiment of the invention, a process step of applying denim dye (sulfur dye) on the colored dyed cotton yarn is carried out following 100% cotton mercerizing process. Denim yarn is combined with yarns such as silk, wool, floss silk, floss viscose, wool yarns.

In summary, the invention is a denim fabric (1) comprising at least one type of natural animal yarn in wefts and warps. The disclosure protects a woven denim fabric and a knitted/ tricot denim fabric. The production method of said fabrics is also within the protection scope of the disclosure.

Figure 1 to 8 are examples showing the combined use of denim yarn and natural animal yarns in the denim fabric (1) of the invention. Different denim fabrics (1) are seen in these figures .

By means of the invention, an alternative to the yarn types used in the art is provided for woven denim fabric. Weaving methods such as weft , warp, pile are used, and a denim fabric with di f ferent properties increasing variety has been developed .

Additionally, as a result of the texture and strength of yarns used, fabrics with di f ferent textures can be obtained and used in the field of textile for di f ferent purposes . The use of natural animal materials such as silk, floss silk, floss viscose and wool allows conventional production to regenerate . In this way, it is ensured that groups in every field from the countryside to the highest level that derive a profit from textile will gain benefit .
