Abstract:
Provided is a denitration catalyst used in a denitration process for combustion exhaust gas from a coal-fired boiler or the like, has sufficient mechanical strength to be able to maintain the catalyst shape, has superior catalytic performance comparted to conventional denitration catalysts having zirconium oxide crystals, and also has a low production cost. The denitration catalyst, which has a honeycomb structure comprising an inorganic fiber sheet as a substrate, supports titania, vanadium oxide and/or tungsten oxide, and a zirconium compound (excluding crystalline zirconium dioxide) as a shape-maintaining binder on the honeycomb structure.
