Abstract:
A dental filling material combining the optical properties and mechanical properties
which are required of dental materials; a process for producing the filling material;
and a dental composite material containing the dental filling material. The
dental filling material comprises fine particles of an amorphous inorganic
oxide obtained by coating the surface of fine silica particles with a composite
oxide comprising zirconium, silicon, and oxygen. The dental composite material
comprises the dental filling material and a curable resin selected among an acrylic
resin, methacrylic resin, epoxy resin, vinyl resin, urethane resin, etc.
