Abstract:
The problem addressed by the invention is to provide a dental handpiece configured to allow a user to easily replace an optical fiber therefor. A dental handpiece (1) includes a head portion (2) that is disposed at a tip of the dental handpiece (1) and to which a tool (7) for treating an affected area is detachably mounted, a connecting portion (3) disposed at a rear end of the dental handpiece (1), and a plurality of guide members (4) with which the head portion (2) communicates with the connecting portion (3), wherein the connecting portion (3) is used by being connected to a dental unit that has a supply means for supplying energy. The guide members (4) each include a supply pipe (42) for supplying energy to the head portion (2). At least one of the guide members (4) has an insertion means (41) capable of attaching/detaching and inserting a flexible optical fiber (5) between the connecting portion (3) and the vicinity of the tool (7).
