Abstract:
Provided is a handpiece video image acquisition apparatus, with which it is possible to acquire a clear video image even if coolant water is supplied. A video image acquisition apparatus (11) which is attachable to a dental handpiece main body (1) comprises: a light input unit further comprising a receiving aperture whereby it is possible to receive light; and retaining members (14, 15) which retain the light input unit on the dental handpiece main body. It is possible for the receiving aperture to be retained on the dental handpiece main body by the retaining members so as to be positioned in a range further outward than the outer circumference face of a head (2) of the dental handpiece main body and offset further from an instrument than an instrument mounting face of the head.
