Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a dental handpiece that enables rotation of a cutting tool at a higher speed than conventional ones. [Solution] A motor handpiece 1 comprising: a coupling part 4 and a body 5 which are held by a user; and a head part 7 connected to a neck part 6, wherein the head part 7 comprises a tool rotation mechanism 50 which holds a cutting tool 3 for treating a site to be treated and rotates according to the rotation of the drive unit 2a, which is rotating and driving, so as to rotate the cutting tool 3, and the rotational speed of the tool rotation mechanism 50 is at least 5.5 times the rotational speed of the drive unit 2a.
