A dental implant (100) and the method (200) of producing the dental implant (100) for use with a dental prosthesis (122), the dental implant (100) comprising an implant part (102), a recess (106) on the implant part (102), a protrusion (112) on the implant part (102), an abutment part (114) and an external surface (116) of the abutment part (114). The implant part (102) is fabricated from an inorganic non-metallic material blank and the abutment part (114) is fabricated from a dental bonding material.
