Abstract:
Provided are a denture and a mounting attachment therefor, wherein even when the denture wearer occludes the denture strongly, a denture engagement protrusion (210) that is formed at an upper part of an abutment tooth by using a residual root part (50) slidably abuts along the inner peripheral surface of an abutment tooth engagement recess (130) according to the degree of the occlusal force applied, so that the position of the denture with respect to the abutment tooth is changeable within a prescribed range. Compression of the gums (800), caused by at least part of the denture base (120) being pressed against the gums, causes at least a partial region of the bottom surface of the denture base to be pushed in, which leads to the generation of a force, from the gums, against the compression. This makes it possible to occlude while the occlusal force is being absorbed, so that the denture wearer experiences an excellent fit and comfortable occlusion during a meal.
