Abstract:
A deodorizing device (S) applied to a catch basin (M) for sewer pipes provides
an effective deodorizing effect as substitute for odor prevention by a catch
basin cover (3). The deodorizing device (S) has a receptacle frame body (10)
placed at a drain opening (5), and also has a body (12) placed in a mounting pipe
(6). A partition wall (26) is transversely placed at a predetermined angle in
a circular tube body (25) of the body part (12). A main valve body (27, 27A) closes
an opening (26c) of the partition wall (26) and is pivotally supported so as to
open only toward the downstream direction of flowing water. The main valve body
(27, 27A) is provided with means (90) for urging the main valve body in its closing
direction.
