Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a deodorizing implement that can utilize an electric fan to eliminate odorous components, the scent of tobacco, and the scent of nonenal in the air. [Solution] A deodorizing implement (10A), which is made of a soft polyurethane foam (11) having interconnected cells, has a front surface (13) and a rear surface (13) having prescribed surface areas, a plurality of aeration channels extending between the front and rear surfaces (13), and a plurality of aeration holes leading into the aeration channels and opening in the front and rear surfaces. An activated carbon powder that adsorbs odors is affixed by a prescribed binder to the front and rear surfaces (13) and the wall surfaces of the aeration channels, the entire front surface (13) is enveloped in an air-permeable sheet (20) having a filter function, the entire rear surface is enveloped in an air-permeable net having a plurality of meshes, and the deodorizing implement is detachably installed immediately behind the blades of an electric fan for blowing air forward, in a manner such that the front surface (13) faces the blades.
