Abstract:
Disclosed is a deodorizing material which, when employed inside a conventional automobile vehicle compartment, and especially inside a vehicle compartment fitted with an air conditioner, provides a stable deodorizing effect because it vaporizes over a long period, and, moreover, does not have any adverse effect on the air conditioner circuit. The deodorizing material has sustained vaporization properties and is for use in vehicles, and it comprises a fibrous sheet impregnated with, as an active ingredient, at least one phenol-based antimicrobial compound having in the molecular structure a hydroxyl group which binds readily with sources of unpleasant smells such as amines.
