Abstract:
A depolarizing film which is provided with a base film and a depolarizing layer that is formed on at least one surface of the base film and has a function of converting linearly polarized light into partially polarized light or non-polarized light, and wherein: the depolarizing layer contains a liquid crystalline compound or an orientation fixed compound of the liquid crystalline compound; the base film comprises a surface treatment layer into which oxygen atoms are introduced; and the surface treatment layer and the depolarizing layer are in direct contact with each other.
