Abstract:
A depth acquisition device (1) that can accurately obtain the depth to a photographic subject comprises a memory (200) and a processor (110a). The processor (110a): obtains the intensity of infrared light that is measured by imaging the subject on the basis of the infrared light and is stored in the memory (200); generates a depth image by calculating the distance to the subject as the depth, on the basis of this infrared light intensity; obtains a BW image generated by capturing an image having substantially the same scene, the same viewpoint, and captured at the same time as the IR image on the basis of the intensity of the infrared light, said BW image being stored in the memory (200); detects, from this BW image, an edge area being an area including an edge following a direction perpendicular to the movement direction of the BW image; and corrects the depth of an area to be corrected, being an area inside the depth image corresponding to this edge area.
